The 2010 year has been marked by many states enacting laws to ban the use of cell phones for drivers. Illinois, like many other states, has recently enacted a law regarding the use of electronic communications in vehicles. The
Illinois law bans the composition, reading and/or sending of electronic communications while driving. Our technology dependent residents should be aware that sending a text message or reading an e-mail while in the driver's seat can lead to a violation of the law.
